Collingwood AFLW player Emma Grant was back in Bendigo last week and delighted footy fans with a kick-to-kick as she promoted this year’s Bendigo Bank Fun Run, which is in its 12 year.
A past captain of Bendigo Thunder, our city’s women’s football team, Emma was recruited by Collingwood’s AFLW where she has played since the club’s debut in 2017. She is dedicating time in the off season to be part of the Fun Run on Sunday 4 November, which she has enjoyed in past years.
“It’s a fantastic way for the community to get together,” she said.
This year’s event will support the Bendigo Health Foundation’s Residential Care Appeal, improving the lifestyle spaces and environment at the health care group’s nursing homes in Golden Square.
They include Carshalton House and Golden Oaks Nursing Home.
Fun Run participants can choose from a range of distances and formats available for the November 4 event.
