Fashion meets purpose: Ladies lunch shines for Mental Health
On Sunday 24 August, the Bendigo Exhibition Centre was transformed into a dazzling hub of style, spirit, and solidarity as the Parent Infant Unit (PIU) hosted its much anticipated Ladies Luncheon and Fashion Parade. The event wasn’t just a feast for the eyes it was a heartfelt fundraiser supporting mental health Services across the Loddon Mallee region, and it delivered in every way. Guests were treated to a spectacular fashion showcase featuring designs from beloved local labels including Pink Honey, Sylvia Joyce, Monalisa, Freddie the Rat, robe, The Rest, Little Jollies, and Cloque. The runway sparkled with creativity, celebrating the region’s vibrant design community while drawing attention to a cause close to our hearts. A standout moment came with the keynote address from Gayle Wilson of Soul Care Healing, whose powerful reflections on mental health, wellbeing, and the importance of community support resonated deeply with attendees. Her message added depth and meaning to an already uplifting afternoon. This event is part of PIU’s ongoing commitment to Move for Mental Health, an initiative that champions exercise and wellbeing programs for our mental health consumers. Every ticket sold and every outfit admired helped fuel these vital services.
