Team receives State High Commendation

08 Dec 2023
Bendigo Health's Fundraising & Foundation team was last night awarded a State High Commendation from the Fundraising Institute Australia (FIA) in the category of Fundraising Team of the Year.
We are so proud of what we do and delighted with the recognition, especially when the vast majority of charities in the running for awards were national and international organisations.
We are a small yet passionate team made up of 4.6 equivalent full-time staff. The team aims to surprise and delight our donors and show them the very direct benefits of their support within their local community. The team successfully increased its fundraising by 109% on the previous year with a record-breaking financial year in 2022-2023.
The focus for the team has been on the expansion of major gifts, gifts in Wills and supporting community-led events, engaging the community and empowering staff and clinicians at Bendigo Health to enhance the fundraising potential.
Funds raised by the team are directed to support many of the 'little things that make a BIG difference'. The team focusses on funding specialised equipment and services which would otherwise not be available through government funding for our regionally-based community for better health outcomes.
Thanks to everyone who supports us to raise funds for Bendigo Health to help treat people closer to home and their loved ones.
