Firstly a massive thank you to Dee, Candice, Cathy and Chris for your donations in the final days of the challenge for the month! Your donations helped me to raise a massive $1,687! This well and truly surpassed my expectations and fundraising goal. I cannot thank you guys enough for getting me across the line 💙


I feel extremely honored and grateful to have raised the most funds this year taking home the #1 top individual fundraiser 

I have won an incredible prize of a 3 months Pilates + membership, a $100 rebel sport voucher and a very yummy block of chocolate from Indulge. 


I completed:

Back to work today for me. Was a nice quiet day on the unit. We got a chance to do a 20 minute neck and shoulder yoga session with Adriene. All the mums joined in on this one, some choosing to do it on a chair and others on the yoga mat. We all felt so relaxed and ready for a nap after the session. 


Afterwork this afternoon I completed a 3km, 60 minute walk on the treadmill to warm up before doing a 70 minute glutes weighted session on the Move With Us app. This was an extra weight session for me. I finished my 4 week level 3 fit challenge on the Move With Us app yesterday. Feeling much stronger and toned after the last few weeks.

And big news…. I reached my fitness goal today! 60 hours of workouts done! Feel super proud of this accomplishment. I have really pushed myself to get these hours done. Anddd with 1 day left to spare for the month!

Today I got up and completed a 2km, 50 minute walk on the treadmill to warm up before doing a 60 minute lower body weighted session on the Move With Us app. This workout focused on glutes, hamstrings and quads. I’ll add a photo of the exercises I completed. 


Just before lunch we took Matt’s Niece for a walk to the botanical gardens and had a little play in the park. Was a beautiful warm day.

Yesterday I had the pleasure to watch Michael and Mel tie the knot and become Mr & Mrs Davis! Was an absolutely beautiful day and we danced our way into the night!


Today Matt and I enjoyed a sleep in before checking out of our accommodation at 10am. We grabbed some breaky before we did a 6.5km, 75 minute walk around Albert Park Lake. Was very windy today, but was so nice to see all the baby ducks and baby swans 🦢

Today has been a massive day of movement for me consisting of 2 weighted sessions. I’ll be taking so time away from the gym tomorrow and potentially over the weekend as I head to Melbourne for the next couple of days for a wedding. Michael & Mel are getting married tomorrow! Thank you to you both for your donation today. Really appreciate the support and cannot wait to share your special day with you both tomorrow 🤍


This morning I got up early and started with a 70 minute 3.5km walk to warm up on the treadmill. Then I completed a 60 minute upper body weighted workout on the Move With Us app. 


This afternoon I got back into the gym and warmed up with a 40 minute, 2km walk. I then completed a 45 minute full body workout on the Move With Us app. I’ll add some photos of the exercises I completed.

Today I haven’t been feeling well so took the morning off to rest and recover. This afternoon I got into the gym and started with a 4km, 80 minute walk on the treadmill to warm up. I then completed a 45 minute full body workout on the Move With Us app. I finished off with a 40 minute, 2km walk to cool down. I’ll add some photos of the exercises I completed.

Back to work today and it was a busy day on the ward being a Tuesday. Today when I got home I started with a 2km, 40 minute walk on the treadmill to warm up. I then completed a 15 minute 200 rep core workout on the Move With Us app. I’ll add some photos of the exercises I completed. 


This afternoon I enjoyed a bush walk with Matt and the dogs. We walked 3.2km which took us 45 minutes. We spotted an echidna on the way home which was a very nice surprise to finish the day. I’ll add some photos.

Today I enjoyed a day off and this morning got straight into the gym to start the day. I started with a 3km walk on the treadmill to warm up. I then did a 75 minute glute workout on the Move With Us app. I’ll add some photos of the exercises I completed. 


This afternoon I enjoyed a 7km walk at Crusoe Reservoir which took me 80 minutes. Was such a lovely afternoon to enjoy some sunshine!

This morning we had our second PIU group walk. Staff and patients met for 3 laps around the lake! I did 4.66km in 56 minutes. 

We seen some very cute ducklings 🐥 🦆

I started the day with a 1km walk on the treadmill to warm up/wake up before our lake walk. 


Then tonight at work we did a 10 minute self care yoga with the patients and staff. Followed by a 15 minute anxiety and panic yoga with Adriene. Was a very calming way to finish off the day.

Today I enjoyed the morning off before heading to work in the afternoon. 


I started the day with a 2km walk on the treadmill to warm up/wake up. Followed by a 60 minute lower body weighted workout on the Move With Us app. Todays workout focused on glutes, hamstrings and quads. 

To finish off I did a warm down 1km walk which took 20 minutes. 


Tonight at work we did a 20 minute bed time yoga with the patients and staff. Was a very relaxing way to finish off the day.

Big thanks to Kane and the team from Outdoor Steel Solutions for a their generous donation last night! I really appreciate the support and I know our patients will greatly benefit. This means I have raised $840! Wow guys thank you so much! I have just increased my donation goal to $900.


Today was another nice day at work today. Myself and the mums and babies enjoyed a 10 minute mum & bub yoga session with Paula this afternoon. We were all feeling very refreshed and uplifted after lunch. Our friends from OPU brought us some yummy donuts that the team at BSL financial had bought for all the nursing staff in the hospital 🍩 

A nice little treat to finish the shift! 


When I go home from work I did a 60 minute 3km walk on the treadmill. Followed by a 45 minute full body weighted workout on the Move With Us app. I did a 40 minute 2km warm down walk to finish off.

Back at work today and it was a nice day on the unit. This afternoon myself, the patients and staff enjoyed a 20 minute ‘fill your cup yoga’ with Adriene. We were all feeling very refreshed and uplifted to finish the day. 

When I go home from work I did a 60 minute 3km walk on the treadmill. Followed by a 60 minute upper body workout on the Move With Us app. Bring on some more movement tomorrow!

Today I enjoyed a day off and completed a 5km walk on the treadmill for 100 minutes. I did so while on the phone to my best friend for a much needed little catch up. Followed by a 60 minute lower body workout on the Move with Us app. This workout focused on quads, hamstrings and glutes. This workout would usually take me 40 minutes but today decided to go up in weights taking me a little longer.

Happy halfway mark! Today I started the day with a 65 minute 3.25km walk on the treadmill. Followed by a 30 minute 300 rep full body workout on the Move with Us app. This workout focused on quads, back, chest and obliques. I warmed down with a 30 minute walk on the treadmill. 


This afternoon we had our very first team PIU group walk at Lake Weeroona! The rain didn’t stop up from getting in a lap around the lake! All the patients and babies walked from the hospital to meet the rest of the team. We enjoyed some hot jam donuts to warm us up and give us some extra energy.

Today I have had a day off and much needed rest day from gym. I spent the day in Cobram celebrating a friends daughters first birthday. I will be back in the gym tomorrow as well as participating in our first PIU group walk at 4pm at Lake Weeroona. If you would like to join in we are meeting at the toilets near the playground.

I have just increased my fundraising goal to $600. 


Today I worked a double shift and wasn’t able to complete my usual workout. Instead I took 3 of our PIU patients and their babies on a walk just after 6pm around the hospital block and near by streets. We managed to walk 3.5km in 50 minutes. I’ll add some photos from our walk. 


I’ll aim to get back into the gym tomorrow after work and make up todays workout over the weekend.

Happy World Mental Health Day 💙


Today has been another day full of movement! I had the pleasure in participating the Move For Mental Health 24 hour challenge for team PIU between 2-3pm today. I had a doll baby in our baby carrier and did 15 minutes on the treadmill and 10 minutes on the exercise bike. We participated as and group and even had some of our patients join the challenge. Check out a few of the photos from our efforts today. 


After work I dropped into the Aligning Perceptions art exhibition at Dudley House to check out some local art done by some talented mental health consumers and workers. Today was the last day to have a look and I couldn’t miss out! I’ll add some photos of a few pieces. 


When I got home I got changed and got straight into the gym and did a 200 rep core challenge on the Move With Us app. This workout is super quick and easy to do only taking 15 minutes. I will add a photo of todays workout. 


To finish the day off my partner Matt and I took our dogs for a bush walk again tonight before dinner. We walked 3.5km in 45 minutes. I’ll add some photos of our walk. 


It’s been such a great day celebrating World Mental Health Day!

Today has been a massive day full of movement! This morning I woke up and completed a 60 minute 3km walk on the treadmill. Followed by a 60 minute glutes workout on the Move With Us app. 


This afternoon myself and Alex (my fellow PIU colleague and Move for Mental Health team member) went for a walk around Crusoe Reservoir. We did 7.16km in 90 minutes. 


Tonight before dinner my partner Matt (who is also participating in this years Move for Mental Health) and I took our dogs for a bush walk. We walked 3.5km in 45 minutes.

Wow I’ve reached my fundraising goal again today thanks to Shawn and the team at Evolve Accounting Solutions for their generous donation! Thank you so much for your support! I’ve just updated my fundraising goal to $300. 


Todays wet weather has meant an indoor 4.5 km walk on the treadmill for a hour and a half. Followed by a 200 rep core challenge on the Move With Us app which took about 20 minutes to complete. I finished with a 5 minute walk on the treadmill to warm down. 

Coco missed out on a walk today due to the rain so instead enjoyed a treat while worked out. See todays photos 🐶


In some other exciting news, today I was offered a place at Federation University next year to study Masters of Health in Perinatal and Infant Health 👶🏻

I am excited to propel my career and specialise in the important and rewarding field of perinatal and infant health.

Wow I’ve reach my fundraising goal on day 1 with a donation of $100 from Mitch and Shelby Goudge! Thank you to you both for supporting my efforts. I have just updated my fundraising goal to $150. 


Today I have woken up after night shift and completed a 65 minute walk and a 60 minute weighted glutes session in my home gym with the Move With Us app. I completed day 1 of the fit program level 3 with Rachel Dillon. 


Move With Us, formerly known as bodies by Rachel is a workout community providing home and gym training programs that I have been apart of since 2016. Over the years, Move With Us has helped transform my mind, soul and body giving me education and empowerment to improve my fitness, nutrition and overall wellbeing. 


Since returning from my European summer holiday my exercise routine has slipped and I am aiming to get back into it with my exercise goal and the Move With Us app. 


I’ll add some photos from todays workout. Featuring my Move for Mental Health helper, Coco. He loves spending time with me in the gym or napping. He has been fetching his ball today in between by sets.

I am participating in Move for Mental Health again this year. I've signed up to participate with the Parent Infant Unit (PIU) a five bed mental health inpatient unit for primary care givers and their infants who are under 12 months of age. As a psychiatric nurse working at PIU, I place a strong emphasis on caring for others within Bendigo’s tight-knit community to make a difference in the health and wellbeing of those experiencing mental health difficulties. At PIU we assess and treat the mental health of the parent and support/strengthen the attachment relationship between parent and infant. 


This year I have a fundraising goal of $100. I want to help raise much needed funds to improve mental health services for patients throughout the Loddon Mallee region. A 100% of the proceeds go directly to Bendigo Health.


This month I will be aiming to complete 60 hours of exercise within 31 days. I will post updates of my progress throughout the month.
