We want to extend a heartfelt THANKYOU! To all those who have been backing the Parent Infant Unit team. Your support has consistently surpassed our initial expectations, prompting us to raise our fundraising target multiple times. Today, we are excited to announce that we've once again elevated our goal, setting it at a remarkable $4,000. PIU took part in the 24 hour treadmill challenge yesterday as part of move for mental health. Staff and patients of the Parent Infant Unit all went down for an hour in the afternoon and took it in turns to have a go on the treadmill and the bike that was set up on ground floor of the hospital before the next team came to take over for their turn.ÂWe are fundraising for...
Our team is made up of staff from the Parent Infant Unit at Bendigo Health along with their family and friends. The Parent Infant Unit (PIU) is a five bed mental health inpatient unit for primary care givers and their infants who are under 12 months of age. We assess and treat the mental health of the parent and support/strengthen the attachment relationship between parent and infant. We've signed up to participate in the 2023 Move for Mental Health challenge because we want to help raise funds to improve mental health services for patients throughout the Loddon Mallee region. 100% of the proceeds go to Bendigo Health.
