Bendigo Health is supported by almost 200 volunteers and seven dedicated Auxiliary groups, which have a combined total of more than 130 years of service.
Friends of Golden Oaks Auxiliary
The Friends of Golden Oaks Auxiliary aims to raise funds in order to give our residents the extra's, including Entertainer's, small gifts on special occasions and outings, that enrich their lives.
Intensive Care Auxiliary
The Intensive Care Auxiliary has raised more than $1 million during its 34 years. The auxiliary raises funds for intensive and critical care equipment, items for patient comfort, and assisting in funding Critical Care Nursing Scholarships. New members very welcome.
Bendigo Palliative Care Auxiliary
Bendigo Palliative Care Auxiliary has supported Community Palliative Care, Hospice and Chum House for many years. In past years, the group’s extensive fundraising efforts have made a significant difference to our patients by purchasing essential items for their comfort and care.
Carshalton House Auxiliary
Carshalton House Auxiliary is focused on providing special extras for their residents and raising money to provide entertainment and other activities and equipment for our residents.
Friends of Simpkin House
Simpkin House is a specialised unit, catering for consumers requiring care that is not found in your generic nursing homes.
Gibson Street Complex Auxiliary
Gibson Street Complex Auxiliary raises funds for aged care entertainment and activities of our residents choice along with equipment to improve residents comfort.
Friends of Oncology
Friends of Oncology receive donations throughout the Loddon Mallee region and in June 2015 celebrated 10 years of generous support to the oncology department. The equipment they continue to buy through their fundraising efforts makes a real difference to those receiving treatment for cancer at Bendigo Health.
