Enuresis bedwetting alarms

Enuresis bedwetting alarms – Paediatric Allied Health Services

Children with bedwetting issues form a significant part of the client group in Continence clinic. The Enuresis alarms are used as part of the continence management plan for children with bedwetting. They are often children with multiple medical issues or disability. Alarms are in high demand with a waiting list for access. These alarms support children between 3 and 10 years old.

The alarms are hired out to the family for a period of 6-8 weeks with regular telephone reviews during this period to modify the management plan as required. This works alongside a “bladder dairy” where the child/parent record what happens overnight and stickers are commonly used as a reward. Two further alarms would help reduce the long waiting list of families that require this support in what is a difficult and stressful condition.
