Specialised equipment
we need

Specialised medical equipment is expensive. The Fundraising & Foundation department does not fund anything budgeted for by government or contribute to hospital operational costs. Our focus is on high priority equipment, new services and many other essentials that add a level of patient comfort and care.

Through donations and the efforts of fundraising heroes in our community, we work with our medical staff to provide funding grants for medical equipment.

Corpuls CPR Cardiac resuscitator

$31,500

The purchase of the Corpuls CPR device Cardiac resuscitator is necessary in delivering appropriate and effective care to the deteriorating patient. With a regained focus on chest compression during CPR, a device to assist with this life saving procedure has become more attainable. For the treatment of cardiac arrest, effective chest compressions are an essential part of the life-saving cardiopulmonary resuscitation.  The provision of sufficient chest compression is among the most important factors influencing patient survival during cardiopulmonary resuscitation.  The Corpuls device will provide effective cardiac compressions whilst we are able to perform angiography and increase the chance of survival.

The benefits of purchasing the new Corpuls will be a reduction in risks to staff injury related to preforming sustained chest compressions during cardiac arrest.
