Specialised equipment
we need

Specialised medical equipment is expensive. The Fundraising & Foundation department does not fund anything budgeted for by government or contribute to hospital operational costs. Our focus is on high priority equipment, new services and many other essentials that add a level of patient comfort and care.

Through donations and the efforts of fundraising heroes in our community, we work with our medical staff to provide funding grants for medical equipment.

Da Vinci XXI surgical robot

To further enhance our surgical capabilities and improve patient outcomes, we are seeking philanthropic support to acquire the state-of-the-art da Vinci XXI surgical robot.
The need for surgical robotics has revolutionised the field of surgery, offering precision control and enhanced visualisation that traditional methods cannot match. By bringing the da Vinci XXI robot to Bendigo Health, we aim to provide our community with access to the most advanced minimally invasive surgical procedures available today. This potentially life-saving equipment will enhance a range of surgical procedures including cardiac valve repair; cancer tumour removal; partial or complete removal of the prostate; robot-assisted thoracic surgery and renal and gynaecologic surgical procedures.
