Cavelle Binns is a Pharmacy Technician at Bendigo Health and was recently awarded a Bendigo Health Fundraising and Foundation non-clinical education scholarship.
The annual scholarships are provided to non-clinical employees wishing to upskill and enhance their individual career path, whether it’s through further education or a change in career within the organisation.
"The scholarship will support me to develop more advanced skills in business administration by learning about contemporary approaches to managing workflows and improving interdepartmental communication." Cavelle said.
"I will be better equipped to support various teams within the pharmacy department. Improved communication leads to a more cohesive work environment, allowing healthcare professionals to focus on delivering high-quality patient care." she added.
In addition to Cavelle's business administration training, 17 staff were funded to participate in a Interpret and Apply Medical Terminology unit - a nationally recognised training unit that focuses on developing the skills and knowledge required to understand and use medical terminology.
