Steering towards our goal

20 Oct 2022

Di Foggo, kick started the fundraising – steering us towards our goal to fund a patient transport bus so more mental health patients throughout the region can access the specialised exercise program regardless of their location.

Bendigo Health Board member and Fundraising Advisory Board Chair, Di Foggo, was one of the first to get on board and make a significant donation to our Move for Mental Health virtual fitness challenge.  Di is also one of the 196 people who have already registered to take part in the challenge - which continues until the end of October.

There is still time to join the challenge, which is raising vital funds for mental health services across the region.

Since its creation two years ago, Move for Mental Health has raised more than $115,000 to improve the wellbeing and recovery outcomes of mental health patients throughout the Loddon Mallee region. During this time, a specialised exercise program, an on-site gym and sensory modulation tools have been introduced to mental health departments which have made a world of difference for patients.

The 2022 challenge is raised funds to purchase a multi-purpose bus, so more mental health patients throughout the region can access the specialised exercise program regardless of their location.

We are over half way to our target with more than $38,000 raised for the 2022 Move for the challenge so far, but we still need participants to rally their friends and family and encourage donations in the final 10 days of the challange.
